... was the most obnoxious, vile bumper sticker
i saw this morning....
it literally makes me sick.
i despite the trite way *whomever created
this play on reality* it comes across....
incidentially... today is my mother's 51st birthday.

that reply makes no sense.... unless you mean
the bumper sticker was created in lieu of cake

anyways... its a stupid thing to say on a bumper
sticker... or in any conversation.

because it attempts to mesh two perspectives that
cannot be meshed... its a play on reality...
had your mother never had you (or, in this case,
chose abortion) you'd never know it.
this bumper sticker entices you to think about
all the cheesy material things that make you
happy to be alive... not dead. but in the case
of this sticker... its presupposes that you are
aware of life before understanding death...
which is true... but had you never been born
or aware of life... you'd not know of anything...
so its insulting.
its like saying:
'its a good thing you were born human'
as opposed to what??? an elephant?
what difference does it make?
even if you were born an elephant, you'd not
know any difference in perspectives... but because
you have the rational ability you do AS a human,
you can easily see the differences....
bah...

i guess what i'm saying is....
it necessitates the ability to stand free from
yourself in order to determine/judge the world
free from yourself... which is impossible.
you cannot escape yourself....
even in the attempt to understand what its like
to be free from yourself.
